South Bear School is a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(3) of the IRC. It takes teamwork, resilience, and community support to keep this organization alive, and your donated funds are a big part of that! We are so grateful to everyone who has made South Bear a reality through their hard work, funds, and time. Thank you to all of our community members, friends, students and teachers for being with us through this adventure!

Why Your Contribution Matters

Your contribution to South Bear Pottery School directly supports making creativity more accessible. A donation of $1,000 funds a full scholarship for our two-week pottery retreat, giving a student the chance to explore the craft and connect with others in a hands-on learning environment. Gifts of $75 cover the cost of clay and kiln electricity per student, while $25 provides a participant with the essential tools they need to get started.

Every contribution counts, and although they may seem like small things, they’re what make it possible for someone to take that first step into pottery. Your support also helps fund partial scholarships, making our programs more affordable for students from all backgrounds. Beyond that, donations sustain our workshops and help us grow, including funding improvement projects like building maintanence for the Wheel of Summer Studio. When you give, you’re helping us share the joy and fulfillment that comes from working with clay.
